1. What is the typical lead time for a custom indexable tool body?
For standard non-standard tool bodies, our typical lead time is 2 to 4 weeks from design approval. Because we manage all 18 CNC centers in-house, we can often expedite urgent orders faster than larger, more rigid manufacturers.
2. How do you handle my confidential technical drawings?
Your IP is 100% secure. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before you share any workpiece data. All files are stored on secure internal servers and are only accessible by our 12-engineer design team.
3. What file formats do you require for custom design?
We prefer 3D formats such as STEP, IGS, or Parasolid (x_t) for accurate interference simulation. However, we can also work from 2D DWG/DXF files or even high-quality hand-sketches if detailed dimensions are provided.
4. Can you design tools for specific machine interfaces?
Yes. We can customize tool bodies for nearly all international standards, including BT (MAS403), HSK, SK (DIN69871), and specialized multi-tasking interfaces. Our 12 engineers ensure the shank and coolant-through channels match your CNC spindle perfectly.
5. Do you provide testing or cutting parameter suggestions?
Every custom tool comes with a Recommended Cutting Data sheet tailored to your workpiece material. We leverage our 20 years of manufacturing experience to provide feed, speed, and depth-of-cut starting points to ensure successful first-time operation.
